Van camping and biving at the crag has increasingly caused friction with locals over the last few years and is now strongly discouraged. It’s very noticeable in the dale and there are places much better suited to this so head elsewhere.

Wild camping
There is no provision under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act for camping on open access land. You may also be trespassing if you do not have permission from the landowner and in some circumstances the use of land for camping will need planning permission.
We do not allow wild camping on any land that we own and would encourage use of authorised campsites.
