Conservation areas are becoming an important focus for a range of adventure activities such as rock climbing, abseiling and hang-gliding. Although such activities are uncommon in the planning area at present, it is likely that the landforms of the planning area may be an attraction in the future. Such activities have the potential to conflict with the natural, cultural and landscape values of the planning area, as well as presenting a significant public risk because the areas prefer adventure activities (for example, cliff faces at Bald Rock and Boonoo Boonoo Falls) are also those most frequented by visitors to the parks.
